On the 12.02.1968, the company was founded by Werner Weitner. To this day, the Werner Weitner GmbH has stayed a family-run business and the management is already in the third generation. As medium sized family company, we attach high importance to sustainable succes and therefore intergenerational subsistence.
We bank on regional value creation and solid grown business relationships with our customers and suppliers. This also is a principle on the internal side: our biggest capital are our employees. Trust, communication, mutual appreciation and the sense of togetherness are the key to long lasting partnerships, which make a big contribution to our achievements.

Company foundation as a metal construction business.
1969
Enlargement and manufacturing of injection moulds in the fields of turning and milling.
1970
Move to Eichstätt. Specialising in machine parts, weldments, turned and milled parts. The first special tools for the Japanese automotive market are made for our customer Mazda.
1980
18 employees, 800m² production area.
1985
Production of highly precise milled and turned parts for Siemens Augsburg and Nürnberg, as well as parts for the computer technology.
1986
Production of special tools for various Japanese automobile manufacturers (Mazda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Daihatsu und Subaru).
1988
Supplier of Mazda special tools for the whole European market.
1990
Manufacturing of special machines for conveyor technology. Production of highly precise serial parts for Siemens as well as hydraulic systems, pump units and pumps for Mannesman-Demag.
1993
Production of machines for the textile industry, increase in production of special tools for the autmobile industry. Extension of our machine park.
1998
Development of our own design office for special tools, welding devices and special machines.
1999
Official development partner of DaimlerChrysler for special tools for cars and commercial vehicles.
2001
Extension of the design office, including a 3D-construction and prototyping with direct connection to our customers. Production of hydraulic components for rescue technology.
105 employees, 4000m² production area.
2002
Certification according to ISO 9001:2000. Extension of the machine park. Start of the production of workshop equipment for automotive repair shops.
2003
Production and assembly of special assemblies for Siemens Medical Engineering.
2004
Worldwide supplier for motorcycle special tools for KTM and Suzuki
2006
More than 15,000m² of production area, new distribution center in Eichstätt, distribution partners in Ankara (Turkey) and Peking (China) as representatives for Asia and South-East-Europe.
2008
40th anniversary, move into the new administration building, 200 employees.
2010
Extention of the production capacity, winning of new customers (BMW, Liebherr, Deutz, Volvo). First appearance of the Weitner company on the Hannover Messe.
2012
215 employees, extention of the machine park and of the production area.
2017
Supplier for Siemens Labor Diagnostics in the USA and Ireland.
2018
50th anniversary with 250 employees.
2019
Move into the new hall with the sawing, turning, grinding, deburring and development & construction departments.
